Hello,

I am looking to drive a Bridgelux (BXRC-50C4001-B-74-SE) COB but have been having issues with the calculations for the inductor etc., mostly because the equations are based off of the "resistance" of an individual LED in a series circuit.  I've contacted Bridgelux regarding the "resistance" value but they have not given me information requested.  I did send a Bridgelux application engineer my circuit and he said it "should" work but...  Now, I have recently come across the evaluation board design, but it does not match the boost circuit application note from the spec sheet...  Could someone take a quick look at my circuit?  I can send a screen shot of what I've got done - the board is already made but after seeing the mosfet on the evaluation board I fear I may have under spec'd the one I picked..

    Hi Shane,

    We have received your schematic and it's best if you would obtain our evaluation board.  With that you can familiarize yourself with the part and make necessary changes to the design for your application.  If you have a specific question then we can answer it for you. 

    You are correct that the FET is too small for this application.
