TPS3824: TPS3824 Reset Connect question

Part Number: TPS3824

Dear Sir/Ms.

I have a simple question. The TPS3824 has two with the Rest Pin. The customer has a need. When WDI has input Clock, Output Pin wants to be Low, WDI does not input Clock, and Outpot pin wants to be High. May I ask if I want to receive Reset or Rest Bar? Can I find this description from the datasheet?

Best Regards,

Kami Huang

  • Hi Kami

Reset  pin will be appropriate pin for the customer need.

Timing diagram shows Reset BAR is low when WDI doesn't have clock and it is high when WDI has a clock. As your customer needs opposite to it, hence RESET will be appropriate pin .

  • Dear Sir/Ms.

I went to customer's Lab and checked waveform today. The signal of Rest Pin looks like the following.

    Verify Top Side Marking

Verify Connection. Testing Pin3  Reset Pin

Reset Pin Power ON is Pull High Level. CH1 Reset Pin, CH2 WDI.

Let Stop signal to WDI。CH1 Reset Pin, CH2 WDI. (200ms/div)

Let Stop signal to WDI。CH1 Reset Pin, CH2 WDI. (1s/div)

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Kami

Response of RESET bar is mentioned in data sheet as per the given plot.

In your case please connect other output pin. The response will be as required by customer.
