LM10010: Troubleshooting Communication Error when using LM10010

Part Number: LM10010

Hi,

I want to evaluate the LM10010EVM but encountered an issue when using the GUI. Following the setup instructions I downloaded both the LM10010_GUI and CDM20600 executable application. In the GUI I also made sure to update the DLL path to the NSC folder which contains the ftdi_vid_library.dll file.

For the setup, I have the EVM powered at 5V from a lab bench power supply. When powered on the EVM defaults to 1V just fine.

However I am getting this error " Call Library Function Node in host_adapter_close.vi->VID Panel30.vi" Attached is a snippet of the GUI and error.

Do you know how I can move forward to configure the EVM to change to 0.7V and other VOUT settings?

Regards,

Jimmy

  • Jimmy,

I'll need to order an EVM and investigate it.  It will probably be a week or so until I can get back to you.  Do you want to set up a Webex to show me your issue in the mean time?

  • Hi John,

I can wait until you've received the EVM. I have ordered another EVM to test on a different computer to see if perhaps my setup(FTDI drivers) was the issue. I've attached the Readme file that I followed to try to get the GUI to work. I suspect my issue has to do with the dll file not being read during startup even though I am pointing it to the right folder as I've mention in my previous message. Hoping to hear back from you once you get some test time with the EVM as well. It would have been nice if there was a FAQ or troubleshooting guide since most GUI issues are software related.

  • Jimmy,

I will close this thread for now while I wait for the EVM.
