BQ34Z100EVM: Chemistry programming failed!

Hello,

I am using the BQ34Z100EVM with EV2400. Every time I try to update the chemistry I get error code = 1721. I use a 12V 12Ah lead acid battery. I calibrated the device, it measures voltage and current correctly, but my SOC is 0%.

Please update the chemistry database and retry from here, http://www.ti.com/tool/GASGAUGECHEM-SW

Also, make sure that your voltage is above flash update voltage in df.

Hi Batt,

Thank you for your answer.

I updated the chemistry database, it still gave me the same error, somehow after many tries it managed to update the chemid. But my SOC is still at 0%.

Mozes,

Once you update the chem ID you will have to perform a learning cycle with config set to lead acid parameters. Please read the TRM to accurately config your gauge to perform a learning cycle. Once that is complete your RSOC will be accurate.
