TPS54302: Getting problem in practical implementation and IC damaged

I have a requirement of 4.2V , 3A that is why i have chosen TPS54302 chip.

I have tested TPS54302 chip and IC damaged immediately.

Vin=24V/12V

Vout= 5.14 V

C1= 10uF

C2=0.1uF

R4=200K

R5=100K

C4=C5=22uF

R2=100K

R3=12.7K

I have provided input voltage 12 V but the IC damaged immediately.

In first case EN pin is open

In 2nd case En pin is connected to resistor divider network

Output received 3V but IC got damaged immediately

I have only 2 samples left now.

Still not received satisfactory result.

Help require.

Hi,

There is no issue for the schematic, could you please share the layout?

And have you checked whether the IC was soldered to the board correctly?

I haven't designed any layout because i just wanted to check its performance.

The board is hand assembled.

There is no marking identification mentioned in IC itself for pin sequence.

Hi,

There is a dot on the top of the IC, it shows pin 1, then by counterclockwise, you can find pin 2,3......

Firstly, please ensure the IC is soldered correctly. Secondly, place the input capacitors close to VIN and GND pin of the IC.

Yeah I have checked twice.

IC is soldered properly.

I just tested again but immediately IC got damaged .

IC is placed correctly and i have used same values as shown in schematic but no result.

Now, VIN and GND pin is short.
