Hi guys,

I recently got a bq34110EVM along with the EV2400.

After installing and updating everything I am unable to take readings when the jumpers are in the >5V position at J2. I followed the setup using the user guide, but I think I may be missing some calibration aspects. Im using a 12V 6 cell Lead acid battery. Notice how the SOCLOW and BATLOW bits are high. Any suggestions?

**Note that the EVM always remains in sleep mode also.

After setting the jumpers, you need to calculate the gain and then do calibration. With that you can get the evm to work and measure current and voltage.

Hi Batt,

Can you explain with a bit more detail. When I calibrate the device am I just doing voltage and current calibration described in the user manual or do I need to complete the GPC Cycle?

Hi Ronald,

You need to calibrate V, I, and T first in the calibration plugin. Then you need to use GPCCEDV to cycle the battery once to characterize it and get the CEDV parameters.
