Hello,
For one of my project, I need to convert 14.8V @10A capacity battery to 12V @ 10A...The 14.8V battery source 's cutoff voltage is 12.8V. So, the dc-dc will be used should give 12V output even when the input is 12.8V.
Do you have any switch regulatoors (Or) controller to do the above?...Please suggest...
Thanks,
Muthu
Muthu,
The WEBENCH design tool returned 80 possible solutions for your design requirement. I would suggest looking at LM25116:
Muthu,
To achieve the low dropout operation from 12.8V to 12V, choose a controller with low minimum off-time spec, for example the LM25145 has a toff-min spec of 140ns and provides high max duty cycle for a given switching frequency.

Tim
Hi Tim,
Thanks. Though the LM25145 datasheet says min 98% duty cycle for switching frequency of 100KHz...When I input 12.8V as Vmin and 15V as Vmax at Webench design of LM25145, it says that the device does not support for the selected inputs...I am getting the same for LM25141...Please suggest the solution...
Thanks.
Not sure about WEBENCH. Please use the LM25145 quickstart calculator to check this. Also, the details are provided in the LM25145 datasheet.

Tim
Hi Muthu,
We are able to create the WEBENCH design for Vin=12.8-15V Vout=12V Iout=10A for frequency <300KHz. Please find the WEBENCH design below.

Please let us know if you have any query.

Hi Praveen,
How did you change the switching frequency ?. When I give value in the "User preferred frequency" field, it is not taking and giving error...Please suggest...
Thanks,
Muthu
