Hi,

I have an application where I need to back-up a power path for about 500ms. I have planned to use Super caps charger and Monitor IC together.

I was asked to design to control the Discharge Period i.e. If in case of another application it should be able to run for 200ms and cut off based on the timer circuit. Is it possible to achieve the timer-based controlling the discharge of the supercapacitor?

Not with our bq33100. The device has no discharge fet. You can have a uC control a fet to cutoff the dsg based on the timer.

Are there any Battery Monitor IC with the Discharge FET?

You are working with a super cap and not batteries. Batteries monitors will not work for you. We only have the bq33100. you can achieve what you are trying to do with your host and fet ike i said earlier

Hi,

Is there way any way that I can disable BQ33100 using Timer based.

So that I don't need to use a uC to cut off after few milli seconds.
