TPS65130: Board Routing of TPS65130 (VIN Signals/Thermals).

Hello,

I am trying to follow the suggested layout on page 24 of your data sheet. A few questions:

How do you recommended tying ENP, PSP, ENN, and PSN signals to VIN? All Shorted together and one via underneath package to VIN ?

Should VNEG at pin 15 by tied to the VNEG pad (bottom right of layout)?

Also, should thermals be used on the pads?

And finally, shouldn't there be a connection between R4 and R3 as shown in the blue below?

Hello Will,

Datasheet page 24 is an example how to place the components and trace thickness.

You can find a much accurate board layout in the TPS65130 EVM guide at:

EVM zero ohm resistors are not needed in your application, these are for testing.

ENP, PSP, ENN, and PSN can be tied to VIn .

Thermal pad depend on your board assembly, if it manual or automatic...

Thanks for your reply. I still cannot tell if R4 and R3 in the posted layout should be connected?

The pdf you attach is unclear with regards to this.

Hi Bill,

Yes R3 should be connected to R4. In the pdf R3 is R5 and R4 is R2
