Hi,

 I am trying to understand how to use the MR (input) and RESET (output) on the BQ25125... My main question is 1) Can I use the MR pin to "power down" the system when on battery and 2) To wake the system up when on battery. Can it be done the way I am thinking and are there examples of how to do it?

    Hello,

    The /MR input is used to exit shipmode or Hi-Z mode depending on the MRREC setting in B5 of 0x08h. 

    Figure 16 in the datasheet shows how to enter shipmode with /MR pin. As shown, this is done when /CD is high and VIN is absent and /MR is held low longer than treset.

    The device will exit shipmode when /MR has been held low for longer than MRWAKE1 or VIN is inserted.
