PROJECT - 1KW 48V TO 350V DC DC CONVERTER USING PUSH PULL TOPOLOGY

HOW TO SELECT RESISTOR VALUE (DETAIL) ON ISET PIN AND SUGGEST ANY APPLICATION NOTE REGARDING UCC28083D

  • Hi Vinod,

Iset pin is used to program the slope compensation current ramp by connecting a resistor, RSET.
Please refer to page 6 in date sheet about how to select resister RSET for a desired compensating slope with a specific peak compensating ramp voltage at the CS pin.

In general, the amount of slope compensation required in push pull to avoid sub-harmonic oscillation is equal to at least one-half the down-slope of the output inductor current, transformed to the primary. For amount of slope compensation selection, I recommend refer to sections 8.1.3 and 8.2.27 in datasheet LM25037.

Sorry for that there is no application note for UCC28083, but you find a reference design for UCC38083 located here.
