TPS65218D0: Schematic review request & programming house question

Part Number: TPS65218D0
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BOOSTXL-TPS65218

1. Customer completed schematics of TPS65218D0 with i.MX7D. Requesting for BU to support schematic review

2. According to apps notes below, we need to go through Arrow programming services to get TPS65218D0RSLR for i.MX7D that matches the app notes. Can BU release the code for customer to program it by themselves? Or they must go through Arrow only?

  • 1. We can do a schematic review. Did you attach the schematic in your question? I do not see it attached.

    2. It is not mandatory to complete programming through Arrow's Programming Services. TPS65218D0 can be re-programmed before PCB assembly, using BOOSTXL-TPS65218. Customer can also re-design boosterpack for creating "gang-programming" board. However, it is not advised to place TPS65218D0 directly on PCB and re-program after power-up sequence is complete. The TPS65218D0 will power-up with its default output voltages and sequencing, which will not match i.MX7D requirements.

Attached is the Rev. B1 schematic for the board we built to validate this design, and below is an image of the Rev. A1 board that was tested by TI and our 3rd-party design house, VVDN. Please review the schematic and discuss with your customer to see if any changes can be made before TI does a schematic review.
