What is the maximum power dissipation allowed for this device for commercial as well as space grade part? I need this information to derive the maximum drop out voltage allowed for the device.

    Anjali,

    There is not a max power dissipation specification for the device.

    With your configuration, you must remain within the Recommended Operating Conditions (ROC).

    Primarily this will be influenced by your ability to dissipate heat, and maintain the max ROC Tj of 125c or less.

    The HKU package has better thermal performance, and will allow higher internal dissipation while still maintaining max Tj of 125c.

    Section 11.3 in the datasheet discusses these calculations.
