Both, we would like to know if the BQ34Z100-G1 is the best solution? and if BQ34Z100-G1 is the best one, we also would like to know how to use it with PbA battery?

Yes. I would recommend this device.

You cand find the detailed design procedure in its datasheet. See Section 8.2.2.
