Hello everyone,

I am trying to operate BQ76PL455EVM with F28379d Launch Pad on Matlab. I started with "bq76PL455A-Q1 Software Design Reference".

On Matlab Model I pulled output of WAKE to HIGH and FAULT to Low.

Then I have sent "008901000A00DA83" from SCI. But can not receive any signal from TX port of BQ76PL455EVM.

What may be the problem. How we can solve it?

Check VP, VIO voltage level. Make sure device woke up.

What is the Baud rate?

Is it TI evm or your custom board?

Hi Roger,

Baud Rate is 250k.

I use F28379D Launch pad of TI and BQ76PL455EVM Board of TI.

VIO :3.168 VDC,

VPI : 5. 34 VDC,

What may be the problem?

Hi Yusuf,

On the BQ76PL455A-Q1 EVM, please check that you have SW2 configured as single ended. See details on this thread (last post): https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management/f/196/t/875257

If it is configured correctly, I suggest you use the device GUI to make sure that your hardware is working properly. GUI can be found on the product folder: http://www.ti.com/product/BQ76PL455A-Q1/toolssoftware

Hi Leslie,

I am controlling device with TMS 570 and I can verify that it works.

What else may be problem ? Is there anyone that can help me in this issue online or is there any phone number that I can get in touch with on this topic?

Hi Yusuf,

The VIO value would imply that there is something wrong with that voltage rail, particularly that it is being pulled lower than it should be by something external. Are you able to confirm that the device does in fact work with the GUI? Can you show the fault summary of the device when it is working properly?
