Hi Team,
My customer would like to know how MCU knows the battery is absent? Can they monitor /PG or /CHG pin signals to judge?
Now they add 250kohm pull-down resistor in TS pin. So when the battery is absent then TS won't connect to NTC.
Please advise.
Thanks
Hello Paul
When the battery is absent output will toggle from high to low at a 25mS rate. Output will supply 4.35V for 25mS and then pull low for 25mS, this can be seen in Figure 26.
If the MCU has an ADC it could measure the output voltage and identify this high low cycling.
