BQ25713: Host control scheme example

Hello,

Our customer asks if we have an example how Host controls bq25713. Could you provide bq25713 control example by Host ?

When I have checked the datasheet, the basic control scheme is Host should monitor the input voltage, output voltage, battery charge current, discharge current, VSYS voltage, battery voltage by built-in ADC after checking CHRG_OK, then Host can control the charger.

Hey Toshiro,

At a the bare minimum, the Host must control ChargeCurrent() register in order to set the charging current, assuming the default MaxChargeVoltage() is the correct value for your battery. If not, the host should also set the MaxChargeVoltage() register.
