For the best accuracy the answer is yes, but it depends on the temp accuracy you're trying to achieve. If you're ok with the present accuracy then you don't need to.

I saw 11.5.1 internal temperature sensor calibration a little bit complex.
I found the BQ28Z610EVM user guide 3.4.2 to introduce temperature calibration also.
May i use 3.4.2 method to calibrate internal temperature sensor?
Calibration step as below:
1. Measure room temperature with temperature meter (meter close PCB)
2. Read value from temperature meter and fill in value to Applied temperature field.
3. Select the Calibrate box.
4. Press the Calibrate Gas Gauge button to calibrate the temperature measurement system.

Yes. Bascially, the calibration procedure mentioned in the TRM is implemented in the bqStudio.
