Hi,

I can't read BQ40Z50-R2 chip with EV2300, bqstudio doesn't auto detect this chip. Bqstudio is updated to 1.3.86.6.
Any suggestions how do i read this cip with EV2300.

It is recommended to use the EV2400 with new battery gauges.

Now i have EV2400, but its still dont auto detect the bq40z50-r2 chip.

Hi Kalvis,

Can you show us a screenshot of the bqStudio windows?

Are you using a bq40z50 EVM? If so, make sure it is powered on. Also, short the SYS PRES to PACK- and press the Wake button to wake up the bq40z50 device before the bqStudio is launched.

Hi,

Screenshots below. We use BQ40Z50-R2 chip. But chip is packed with battery cells and secure.

BQStudio doesn't auto detect, but chip is in the list when i go further, but its shows warning.
Can You please suggest something, thats doesn't evolve disassembling battery pack?

It seems like the bq40z50 device you are trying to communicate with is running v2.09 firmware. You don't have the right bqz file and therefore bqStudio cannot load it automatically.

Try selecting 4500_2_08-bq40z50R2.bqz and see if you can communicate with that device successfully.
