What I need to do, where is actual issue ..?
We try to follow all required precaution to complete the learning cycle and study all TI provided Document related to achieve successful learning cycle, https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slua903/slua903.pdf and related documents
Also trying to same mistake which we saw on TI forum like, https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management/f/196/t/897478?BQ27542-G1-Getting-Error-VOK-not-cleared-during-the-Battery-Learning-cycle and https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management/f/196/t/569509

Kindly revert back as early as possible, need to close this issues because of this our further development is on hold.

Thanks and regards,

Rahul

  • Hello Rahul,

The log files need to be of the entire learning cycle if possible, in the zip file log there are big time skips where we can't see what is happening with the gauge.

The other log files are just stating what is occurring, which looks to be correct if. Can you also export the .gg file before and after the learning cycle?

Did you follow both of those threads instructions and they didn't help? What was the ChemID used?

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller

  • Hello Wyatt,

Thank you for the prompt reply.

Ohk , we will run another learning cycle to it, for details log as you required. also for the .gg file

I am attaching my battery datasheet to which we manufacture from locally, please check it.SES_3.7V 5Ah_specs_datasheet .pdf

currently we are using following Chemistry ID,

    Chemistry ID
Sr.no	Manufaturer	Model Chemistry ID	Discription
    1	Hyperion	G3EXCell(5000mAh)	1116	LiCoO2/carbon2
    2	Power Source	H7051119(5000mAh)	o150	LiCoO2/carbon16
    3	Prologium	PLCb090230APAA-A(5000mAh)	1320	LiCoO2/carbon11,- 10 c
    4	SAFT MP174565(5000mAh)	1167	LiCoO2/carbon5-1
    5	Wonma PL-896474-2C(5000mAh)	1559	LiCoO2/carbon11
This Chemistry ID's availaible as per the Our Battery Charatristics and Battery Datasheet which we can use in our application to configure the Battery fuel Gauge

In use Model Chemistry ID is Power Source	H7051119(5000mAh)	o150	LiCoO2/carbon16

what is the best choice of the battery chemistry ID..?

Please check the .gg file which i exported before the learning cycle, 12062020.gg.csv

    Thanks and regards

    Rahul

  • I would suggest you use the GPCCHEM tool to find a best matching chemistry id.
    Andy
  • Hello Andy,

As per your suggestion we try GPCCHEM tool to generate suitable chemistry ID, here is the report & log file Phynart.zip

After selecting chemistry ID to start learning cycle, we got an error message “RUP_DIS/RDIS: Not clear” and learning cycle cancelled...?

please take look of GPCCHEM tool report's Phynart_TI.zip

Can you please update on the above issue ?

It would be really great to discuss over call instead of Wait and watch  on E2E .

    Please lets know your availability?.

Please consider we are in critical situation  and seeking your support  and moving forward to production.

    Please do needful.

    Thanks,

    Rahul

  • I have checked all the log files.  Here are my comments.
    a) Please check the log files and make sure no data are missing.  I find quite a few missing data in all the log files.
    b) The voltage, current, and temperature curves should be smooth if you plot them.  I see some spikes in the log files and these data points should be removed.
    b) All the battery cell is charged to full, remove the charger from the battery cell and the current reported by the gauge should be 0.  Also, have the battery cell relaxed for at least two hours.
    Andy
  • Hello Andy,

Means generated log file and Chemistry ID is not a right ..?

    Thank you,

    Rahul

  • Hello Rahul,

If you are using the ChemID suggested by the GPCCHEM tool it should be correct. The data provided in the log file has large gaps in the time and is very short, we are not able to debug what could be occurring without log files of the learning process. Make sure the logging is running correctly when you are doing the learning cycles, it looks like maybe there was an error in the logging time interval.

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller

  • Hello Wyatt,

We study the BQStudio generated log file and Rework On it, we observe that when there is acknowledgement error in the log file there is some garbage data because of that it's shows some unexpected graph

Please take a look of attachment, there is edited & original log file Phynart_Rework_LogFile.zip

How to avoid the Error of No acknowledge from device  ..?
    Thanks,

  • Hello Anday,

For the learning cycle, can we use 0225 chemistry ID as per the TI GPCCHEM generated report ..?

Please check the attach log file and report of GPCCHEM Phynart 01072020.zip

    Thanks,

    Rahul

  • Hello Rahul,

It looks like the chemID matched for your battery is not a good fit because the DOD error is over 3%, this may be because the log file. During your relax periods the battery voltage is still dropping slightly, is there any load on the battery? I would recommend what Andy said, to remove from the charger during relaxation.

Did you perform any calibration on the gauge? if you are still reading current with no load your calibration may be off.

Try disabling the auto refresh when you're running your cycles to decrease the missed data, it's in the top left of bqStudio.

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller

  • Hello Wyatt,

When the system is in relax, there is charging(BQ24773) and fuel(BQ27542) gauge circuit consumption is available, is this matter ..?if yes, what are solution to avoid this and achieve DoD deviation below 3%.

Yes, is this matter...? It is calibrated.

Ohk, we can try with disabling the Auto refresh(no acknowledgment error is because of Auto refreshing..?)

    Thanks,

    Rahul

  • Hello Wyatt,

In the system, There is Charging (BQ24773) and Gauge(27542) is this circuit matter..? if yes, what we need to do ...?

    Yes,we perform calibration.

Ohk, we try it disabling the Auto refresh but the No Acknowledgment Error is because of Auto refreshing...? if no, how to avoid it ..?

    Thanks.

    Rahul

  • Hello,

Wyatt say's, chemID matched for your battery is not a good fit because the DOD error is over 3% What was the solution on it, what i need to do ...?

In our system we use BQ27542 gauge and BQ24773 battery charger, During your relax periods the battery voltage is still dropping slightly, is there any load on the battery? Can we consider it's a load it takes 5mA at relaxing period

Did you perform any calibration on the gauge? if you are still reading current with no load your calibration may be off. Yes, we do calibration before the logging the system on rel_dis_rel cycle.

Try disabling the auto refresh when you're running your cycles to decrease the missed data, it's in the top left of bqStudio. Ohk, Can it solve my issues of No ackonologemnt error problem ...? if NO, what i need to do that because when started log some time it's show's Error: no acknowledgment  that why in the log file there is some data missing

    Thanks,

    Rahul
