I want to use this device as a smart diode to stop the energy going back into the input source when the motor is in Regen mode.
During Regen the voltage level will rise from 48V to 54V.
Normal diode dissipates power. so by adding another MOSFET back to back with the existing MOSFET (Q1 in Figure 27 in the datasheet), can we implement the smart diode function, together with the soft start function.
we have already using the circuit in figure 10 (as a hot swap function with soft start) in the system.
This is another circuit we need it at the output of the main PSU to protect the PSU from the Regen voltage spikes.
