In my programmer I want to read DSG and CHG bit of the BatteryStatus register. CHG :1 charge ，DSG：1 discharge， But BatteryStatus is the same under charge and discharge condition.

Now the circuit of ALERT1 and ALERT2 are not connected， is it the reason  read the same battery state parameters? How to connect ALERT1 and ALERT2 in  circuit .thank you.

Thank you .Now I know CHARGE mode is entered when Current() goes above Chg Current Threshold.  Chg Current Threshold is 75mA，but Current is   0xFF6E（65A） and it  does not change in charge or discharge.Do I need any other Settings for Current?It doesn't feel right.
