LMR50410: Light load operation

Hello team,

The datasheet says the conditions to enter PFM mode is that the load current is lower than half of peak to peak inductor current but customer cannot find the mechanism how to detect in the functional block diagram.

Could you kindly advise how to detect the load current to enter light load operation ?

And are there any plan to release forced PWM version ?

Our customer want 1% accuracy for VFB, so if we have a plan to release forced PWM version, it would be helpful for our customer.

Hello

There are no plans for adding a FPWM feature to this device.

However, we have other devices that offer this feature.

I have attached some documentation that may be of some help.

The exact light-load mechanisim is prorietary.

For the spreadsheet, you can use the LMR36015 in the calculations.

This will be approximate, but we do not have a calculator specific to this device.
