TPS650861: How to use FBVOUT and FBGND.

Part Number: TPS650861

Hi support team,
Please let me know how to use FBVOUT2 and FBGND2.

The NXP LS1043A has a voltage sense pin that can be connected to the power supply IC to keep the core voltage (+1.0V) constant. (Signal below)
  SENSEVDD (Vdd Sense pin)
  SENSE GND (GND Sense pin)
www.nxp.com/.../qoriq-layerscape-1043a-and-1023a-multicore-communications-processors:LS1043A

BUCK2 (+1.0V) voltage output of TPS650861 is used by connecting with LS1043A Core voltage (+1.0V).
BUCK2 of TPS650861 has the following feedback sense pins.
Please let me know if there is a way to connect with these signals.
  FBVOUT2
  FBGND2

  • Hi Dice-K,

The minimum intention with those pins is to be connected to the output capacitors (FBVOUT2 to the positive side and FBGND2 to the ground side of the capacitors). The recommended usage of those pins would be to connect close to the point of load, which will allow for higher output accuracy at the point of load. I am not aware of the exact intention of the SENSEVDD and SENSEGND, however if their intention is to provide a feedback sense point for the PMIC then I would recommend connecting FBVOUT2 and FBGND2 to those pins respectively. If that is not the intention of those pins, you can route FBVOUT2 and FBGND2 to be as close to the processor point of load as possible.

    Best regards,
