Hi, team
My customer using TPS62140 in their project, and base on their company internal process, they needs to input the device datasheet to their system. And they found that for package information, our title shows that TPS62140 is QFN package, but I think our package is VQFN package from our datasheet page 33 .
So customer prefer to check below questions:
1, what's the difference between QFN and VQFN.
2, customer prefer TI correct the QFN to VQFN in the title, since they needs to input that in their system.
Thanks.
G.W
The difference between the VQFN (Very Thin, Quad Flatpack, No-Lead) and QFN (Quad Flatpack, No-lead) is the maximum package height. The TPS62140 is available in a 3mm x 3mm x 1mm max height package, which falls within TI's "VQFN" package.
TI makes a distiniction between these two package thicknesses because some devices are available in both QFN and VQFN packages with different package heights.
Both are industry standard QFN packages, so the more generalized "QFN" is selected in the title.
