Hi,
I am working on a design to covert 12/24V DC battery to 6~7V, then through a LDO to 5V to power a MCU. I find out that both LMR36006-Q1 and LM46000-Q1 meet the requirement. It is for auto application with ambient temperature up to 100C. The targeted output current is 300 mA. I am wondering whether LMR36006-Q1 is a replacement for LM46000-Q1? It seems that LMR36006 is smaller and cheaper. Pros and Cons of both parts?
Thanks,
John
Hello John,
LMR36006 is newer generation device.
In general, new generation device enable lower loss, lower noise, lower BOM count.
Hi Marshall,
Thank you very much for your answer. This resolved my issue.
Best,
John
