BQ34Z100-G1: Non-linear SoC jumps, Vbatt 11-13.29 = SoC 0%, Vbatt 13.3 = 51% - Solved by changing CC Threshold?

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1

All of my abnormal SoC jumps issues went away after changing CC Threshold from 900 (default) to 4050. My battery has 4500mAh.

Is there an explanation? Is 4050 (90%) correct threshold for 4500mAh battery?

I didn't see any details on datasheet or Technical Manual related to CC Threshold.

  • Hello Padam,

That parameter should not influence the SOC calculations, it is only used to increment the cycle counter.

I would guess it may have been a different value that was changed that affected the value or the gauge learned some parameters after cycling to become more accurate.

    Sincerely,
