Dear Sir
I am designing a circuit using TPS2113.
It is a general circuit configuration that normally operates on a battery and charges when an AC adapter is connected.
The "STAT" signal is detected to detect that the AC adapter is connected.
However, even if the AC adapter is connected, the "STAT" pin will always remain "Low". However, the output is switched without any problem at the OUT terminal.
The input conditions of this device are as follows.
・ Pin: 3 (VSNS) → "GND"
・ Pin: 4 (ILIM) → Connect to ground via a 5.1KΩ resistor
・ Pin: 8 (IN1) ← 3.7VDC (from battery)
・ Pin: 6 (IN2) ← 5.2VDC (from AV adapter)
Please give me some advice.
Best regards
HI,
Can you please show IN1 / IN2 in same plot, and more clearly? the photos are very difficult to read, low resolution, so that we can see the timescale?
have you tried swapping the tps2113 and same issue?

Hello,
It would appear that the image did not upload correctly and is showing up as a broken image. Could you reupload the image using the "Insert File" icon on E2E?
EN is designed to be activated when the AC adapter is connected.
I have confirmed that OUT is switched to IN2 when the AC adapter is connected with the battery connected to IN1.
Is there any problem even if it is used in such a circuit configuration?
There shouldn't be an issue with this. I've checked the schematic (looks fine), and the scope shots you've provided.
I can't see or think of an issue that would keep stat from indicating properly.
Can you try to swap the IC with a fresh one and report if this issue occurs on that IC as well?

It's annoying that the STAT signal cannot be detected
For the time being, I was able to realize the function I was thinking of by directly detecting VBUS.
I don't have the circuit board at hand, but I have several, so I will report the result.
Best regards
thank you , please let me know any updates.
I will close the thread for the time being.
