My customer used UCC28180 for PFC+LLC 100W design, because of the high power density, they didn't have aux power for UCC28180 start-up, for now, my customer used high voltage start-up resistance contact to Vcc pin to startup the IC, but the power saving was very worst.
As a high power density, my customer needs the simples way for UCC28180 startup with good power saving. In fact, I have reference the TIDA-01623 high voltage startup circuit, but there have too many components, for the PCB can't put so many already. And they also need the switch frequency 130kHz(or higher) with CCM solution, because if use CRM/DCM the inductance current will too high in peak load and will have an impact on miniaturization.
Does TI have the simplest startup circuit, and the power saving can meet 210mW? My customer wants to keep the CCM solution with UCC28180, because this is having good performance, but if this problem cannot be solved they will change the solution.
