TPS659037: Using a supervisory circuit with TPS659037 when used on AM571x Development Kit for proper power down sequences with sudden power loss

Part Number: TPS659037

Hi,

When using a supervisory circuit to initiate the power down sequence of the TPS6590379 should it be connected to reset pin (K9) or the enable pin (J5)?   I want to ensure the proper shutdown of the PMIC (and the attached AM57xx processor) in the event of sudden power loss.

Thank you,

HSG

  • HSG,

Hi, nice to talk to you again. I recommend using RESET_IN (K9) for the input on whether the system should shutdown in this condition.

    Thanks,

    Nastasha
