Need PMIC for an SOC with below spec

hi, my customer is looking for a PMIC with below spec.

please help suggest the right one.

We are looking for dedicated PMIC for our SoC and below are the SoC power requirement.

Request you to suggest suitable part so that we can start with our platform design/development.

Please note, PMIC should have RTC, DVS (Dynamic voltage scaling) for all the rails, Interrupt capabilities, GPIOs and I2C support to interact with SoC.

Request you to share details ASAP as we are in middle of our analysis and need to close this shortly.

  • Hi, Rahul,

Can you tell us if the new design needs to be in automotive grade?  what's its VIN range?

  • Hi Phil Yi,

This SoC is for Industrial grade application.

Vin Range : 4V -17V [ We have 12V adapter chosen for our application ]

Below is the SoC voltage and current requirement and we are looking for dedicated PMIC solution for the same.

Additional Features Required : RTC, Dynamic Voltage Scaling option for individual rail, I2C, and GPIO option.

Please share suitable solution for the same.

  • Hi Ravikumar,

I found you asked the same topic in another subject "Alternate part number to TPS6594-Q1".

My recent reply is copied here: Can you let's know the part number of the SoC which can help us to locate the best fit PMIC? Another question is: do you accept a 3.3V pre-regulator?

Please use this subject for the topic.

  • Hi Phil,

Thanks for your quick response. We can discuss details in this section. Please find the comments below ..

The SoC is currently under development and with out customer we are developing Evaluation Board Platform to Validate and Qualify SoC.

SoC under development is single chip solution supporting 4G/5G wireless base station application.

Regarding query on accepting 3.3V regulator, do you mean to say, if the PMIC input is 3.3V ?

With 3.3V supply input, if PMIC can meet our requirement, we are open for this option as well.

    Regards

  • Hi, Ravikumar,

I've searched around in out PMIC products, and realized it's almost impossible to get a catalog PMIC to meet all requirements.

We do have many OTP (One Time Programmable) PMICs to meet different customers needs, but needs business size qualification to start the process. It's recommended to contact your local TI sales for the process.
