Hi Team,

Did not understand this so i wanted to ask. 

Do I need to control MODE pin when load is changed from light (150mA) to heavy/peak load (3A)?

    Hi RJ,

    You don't have to control MODE pin with different load. If you connect MODE pin to logic low, the device will work in PFM mode at light load. If the MODE pin is logic high, the device always work at forced PWM mode at full load range.

    You could find the detailed PFM mode and MODE pin configuration in datasheet.
