BQ34Z100-G1: Steps prior to saving a Golden Image

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO

TI Support Team,

After completing a learning cycle with the bq34z100-G1, it states the following in the SLUA903 application guide:

Before saving the Golden File, set Update Status to 02 to disable IT gauging, set the Qmax Cycle
Count to 0, and set the Cycle Count to 0. For a pack side gauge, this ensures that
pack is assembled and gauging and lifetime data is enabled, the cycle counts start from 0.

Can the Update Status be reset to 02 and the cycle counts be reset to 0 in the Data Memory tab in bqStudio to accomplish this?

I've seen other support forum responses stating that it should be done with a text editor.  If that is the case should the .gg file be exported, edited with something like Wordpad, then re-imported back into the Data Memory prior to saving the Golden Image?

Lastly, once the Golden image is saved, what is the process after programming it to new battery packs?  Should it be left alone or should IT Enable be set?

Thanks much for the support,

Kevin
