Hello,
Usually a keyboard or mouse is used to wake up a system. Is that what you are referring to? Are there wired or wireless keyboard/mouses?
Thanks,
Emma
Hi Emma,
We can use wired KB/MS to wake up SYS from S4/S5 at charger port (TPS2546).
But its failed by using wireless KB/MS.
As i know, it had same issue before and closed by limitation. (old projects which used same charger IC)
We would like to know more details about limitation.
Thanks.

Hi Jimb,
The TPS2546 uses an internal deglitch to see what type of device is connected, either low-speed, full-speed, or high-speed. If the device is low-speed or full-speed, it is classified as a wake on USB device. If the attached device is high-speed, it will not be able to wake the system.
The way the deglitch works is that the device counts up if D+ is high and counts down if D- is low. Typically a full speed device has no issue meeting the deglitch in 60 seconds because it pulls Dp high. However, if the mice that you are testing with have a low Dp Dm duty cycle, perhaps they are not able to count in the 60 seconds needed and are not being recognized as full speed and getting misclassified as high speed.
Can you try running some tests where you leave the host system awake for more time than 60 seconds. Can you try leaving the host system awake for 10 minutes and see if you can still produce a fail?
Thanks,
Emma
Hi Emma,
i found the spec. and mail before that "To memorize a FS device, TPS2546 requires the device to remain connected for at least 60 seconds while the system in S0 mode".
After verifying while keep wireless KB/MS connected above 60 seconds in S0, system can wake up from S3/S4/S5.
Thanks for your suggestions and help.
