Dear
It is expected to use lm2596 to design a 2-way usb 5V 1.5A output circuit. Please confirm whether the circuit is OK?
Can CIN use aluminum electrolytic capacitors larger than 100uF? For example, 220uF / 330uf / 390uf and so on.
Is there any requirement for the withstand voltage of CIN?
User,
Yes this device can be used for a 5V, 2x1.5A output.
Yes you can use more input capacitance than shown in the datasheet. Make sure the input capacitance has a voltage rating higher than the maximum voltage seen by the capacitor.
Your schematic looks good.

Dear
I have a question about the application of lm2596
我們使用LM2596設計的是一個可以同時給兩個手機等設備充電的底座,以目前的設計輸出端使用2個USB2.0的接口可以實現每路1.5A對後端設備充電嗎?
We use lm2596 to design a base that can charge two mobile phones and other devices at the same time.
With the current design, the output end uses two USB2.0 interfaces, can achieve each 1.5A to charge the back-end devices?
USB2.0的接口最大輸出電流不是500mA嗎?如果我使用USB2.0的連接器供給手機等設備的電流是不是最大只有500mA?或者需要改用USB3.0的連接器實現大於1A的輸出.
Isn't the maximum output current of USB2.0 interface 500mA? If I use USB2.0 connector to supply mobile phones and other devices, is the maximum output
current 500mA? Or I need to use USB3.0 connector to achieve output greater than 1A
亦或者不管是USB2.0的連接器還是USB3.0的連接器僅是一個橋樑,實際輸出電流不受連接器的限制?
Or whether the USB2.0 connector or the USB3.0 connector is just a bridge, the actual output current is not limited by the connector?
Looking forward to your reply!Thank you!
User,
I am not an expert on USB specifications. I can answer questions about the LM2596 and other devices in my product line but I am not qualified to comment on USB current availability specifications. I can tell you theoretically but this question has more to do with the standards adopted by the market which requires a USB expert to answer. Sorry about that.
