  • Hi Lennart,

Thank you for sharing a picture of your setup. You also need to open R7 and R9 and short R8 and R10. R7/R9 are for UART communication and R8/R10 are for SPI communication.

  • Hi Kristin

Thank you for the fast answer, still have problem with my EVM board BQ79600 after moved the resistors R7->R8 and R9->R10.

@  5V connections, no led litens on EVM BQ79600, and no current (0.0000 A)  from Power supply used by EVM BQ79600.

Tried to get any answer on the  SPI bus  from the EVM BQ79600, but I don't get any response on MISO_tx pin.

Measurement on the SPI bus, see attached document.toTi02.pdf

  • Hi Lennart,

Thank you for sharing so many details of the tests you've run. Please give me some time to look through it and suggest next steps. I will have feedback for you by the end of the week.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Lennart,

Thanks for your patience. Your ping signals look normal, but if the device doesn't wake then auto-addressing definitely won't work.

You say you're not seeing any current at all on the EVM. Can you double-check that the 5V/12V jumpers on the left of the board are in the correct locations? Can you also share what kind of power supply you're using and what the current limit is set to?

It would also be a good idea to verify that the EVM works with our internal boards. Do you have a USB2ANY board available? With this board you can interface the BQ79600EVM with our BQAutoEval GUI, which can send the wake ping.

    Best Regards,
