Hello to TI support team ,

I check current consumption of discharge current after Battery completed charge ~ 2.5mA with Adapter connected , What is the maximum discharge current from the battery to SRN,SRP,PH pins from the battery after charge completed ?

Hi Alexander,

You can refer to the Quiescent current section of the Electrical Characteristics table in the datasheet.

Thanks for your quick response ,

Quiesent current section page 5 in data sheet doesn't reflect measurement I ask , it define current consumption into VCC during adaptor connected from adaptor P,.S . My question is adapter connected , charge completed battery still connected to charge terminals --> battery starts discharge through (VFB,SRN,SRP pins) . My question is the maximum value of this current ? ( I measure today ~2mA)

Hi Alex,

When adapter is connected, we do not really care about leakage current, as the adapter is connected. This is because the adapter can provide full charge whenever the battery hits recharge threshold. Moreover the adapter powers internal circuity so leakage is higher than just the battery discharge leakage we specify. But this value is not specified as it it is not important when adapter is connected.

Hi Kedar ,

It means that if I do not disconnect my battery after it complete charge it keeps discharge leakage current up to VRECHG threshold and after it starts charge again ?

Hi Alex,

Yes, that is the benefit of the recharge threshold as it it will automatically trigger a new charge cycle, to ensure your battery is always topped off, as long as your adapter is connected.
