BQ76920: Can you implement active cell balancing with a passive cell balancing controller

I need to implement active cell balancing in a BMS. I would like to use BQ76920 or BQ76952 for cell balancing, but I'm open to other chips for active cell balancing?

My questions are:

1. Is there a way to do active balancing with these chips? I suspect the answer to this question is "no", but I thought I would ask anyways.

2. If the answer to #1 is no, is there an analogous product that does provide active balancing, or is the EMB1428Q + EMB1499Q the only solution? In other words, is there a component that just implements the switching + active cell balancing algorithm without the need to program the sense/switching action in an MCU?

    1. No, the BQ76920 and BQ76952 both use passive balancing.  You can use the voltages read from either of these monitors as input for your active cell balancing system.

    2. Yes, that is the present active cell balancing chip set we offer.   I must be  controlled by a MCU.
