This question is for TPS53679, TPS53659, TPS53622 that are Intel VR13 Serial VID (SVID)-compliant power supply controllers
that have programmable parameters. It may apply to proprietary footprint devices TPS53678, TPS53658 TPS53655, as well as TPS53681, even though it is not an Intel power controller.
The input conversion voltage range is 4.5V to 17V per datasheet, while examples usage are 12V centric.
The datasheet for TPS53659 says "Dynamic Output Voltage Transitions with Programmable Slew Rates via SVID or PMBus Interface".
Would the programmable slew rates outlined by the datasheet be different with input ranges? For example, 12V input vs. 5V?
Hello, observed slew rate would match the programmed value (e.g. 10mV/us for VOUT_TRANSITION_RATE = 10mV/us), regardless of the input voltage. The examples are based on 12V, just because this was the most common use case for Purley server systems, for which these controllers were developed.
