BQ76952: Are all BQ76952 devices functionally same? Will devices support i2c?

Part Number: BQ76952

Hi,

I have finished work for bq76952 with communication interface i2c, No CRC enabled. Since they are out of stock now. I would like to use other devices in the devices comparison table

BQ76952 I 2C N Disabled

BQ7695201 SPI Y Disabled

BQ7695202 I 2C Y Enabled, set to 3.3 V

BQ7695203 SPI Y Enabled, set to 5 V

BQ7695204 SPI Y Enabled, set to 3.3 V

My question is, by changing the settings-configuration-comm type settings.. are all devices functionally the same, In other words by changing register settings can I convert bq7695202 to bq76952, bq7695204 to bq76952?

  • Hi Mounish,

Yes, all devices can be OTP programmed for the settings of one of the other devices. For simplicity, it is probably easiest to use the BQ7695202 and then disable the CRC.

    Best regards,

    Matt
