Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models
HI,
I need help to understand whether by using below attached circuit with LM5023 can I get 24 vdc/3A output....Also need to know whether any other components required to add with this?
I got the below schematic from Webench toll after giving my requirements.
Hi Arkaprava,
Thanks for using WEBENCH Power Designer, please go ahead with the above design. WEBENCH equations are pretty accurate and detailed, and should be close to the final board testing.
Once you are done with the prototype, let us know if the design works/or any other issue, we might have to fine tune the final circuit like snubber ckt, loop feedback, based on final leakage inductance/layout , etc
For starting point, we should be good here,
I do not see any extra components required for testing purposes for the initial prototype though.
However we can always select different components than what is proposed in WEBENCH schematic as long as they are following the current and voltage limits specified in WEBENCH alternate window for that corresponding part. (you can find this by clicking on the component in the WEBENCH schematic, and then select "Choose Alternate" option)
For ex: output diodes in this example might be over rated in terms of current in the above WEBENCH design, this is because we could find only these diodes in our database which satisfy the reverse voltage and forward current rating. However you can chose lower current rated diode as long as it meets thermal requirement for the design.
Let us know for all the questions you might be having,
Thanks
sahil
Hi Arkaprava
Here is a training video on how to import Spice models into TINA-TI.
