BQ25892: Will BQ25892 retain registers once programmed via I2C ?

Will the BQ25892 Charger IC retain the maximum charge current 5A once programmed via I2C ? Should it be re-programmed again if the battery is removed ?

When an adaptor is plugged in, the device will run input current limit detection automatically and update REG00[5:0]. After the input current limit detection is complete, the host can over-write IINLIM register to change the input current limit if needed. The IINLIM register will not change if the battery is removed, but it will be updated if the adaptor is re-plugged in when AUTO_DPDM_EN is enabled, i.e. REG02[0]=1. Thanks!

IINLIM register is used for input current limiting and maybe not for fast charge current settings. Will the fast charge current for battery (REG04) which is 2048mA by default, if changed to 5A using I2C, be retained even if the battery is unplugged and the IC is not powered anymore ?
