The AM37xx and DM37xx are compatible from a SDRC interface perspective.  Therefore, the same memory device will work with both of them.

The main thing you will need to consider and potentially modify is the SDRC configuration register settings if you are using different frequencies for the L3 interconnect and the SDRC between the 2 platforms.  SDRC timing parameters are dependent on the clock frequency of the SDRC interface, the DRAM timing parameters, etc.  I just wanted you to be aware of this as you are planning your development.

The L3/SDRC timing information makes sense. Thanks for the information. The Hynix chip also contains flash memory. Are there any flash memory compatibility issues between this Hynix chip and the DM3730 processor? Also, I want to make sure there aren't any incompatibilities with the EVMFlash software tool.

We are struggling to find a PoP memory solution with both NAND and SDRAM for the DM3730.

It seems like manufacturers are to moving towards making PoP chips with either or, but not the combination.

Please provide any part numbers for PoP chips that have both types of memory and are designed to work with the DM3730.

Does the Hynix part mentioned above support both NAND and SDRAM?

Yes, the Hynix part number above has both SDRAM and NAND Flash. Hynix plans on building this chip till the end of this year so if you use it, buy as many as you need up front.

I don't know but if you find out, i would love to know. I do however have some suggestions that might help you. The new beagleboard uses a DM37x processor and their pop memory is made by Numonyx, p/n: JZ58F010600Y040. I'm not sure if Numonyx still builds this part and if they do i'm not sure for how long. Something else you might check into, CircuitCo in Dallas, Texas is the assembly shop for the beagleboard and they might know of other PoP memory chips besides this Numonyx part.

I am also wondering where I can get the data sheet for H8KDS0UN0MER-4EM! However the Hynix website doesn't show this part, any idea of its already gone EOL?
