How can i make a static lib from the codec engine.....

Hi.

In the directory " codec_engine_2_25_05_16/examples/ti/sdo/ce/examples/apps/video_copy ". I want to make a static library that encapsulate the operation of viddec_copy codec engine. Then application engineer can link this lib and dont have to install dvsdk.

Ideally this is not the best way forward as you may want the dvsdk for various other reasons.

However if you still insist, there is a generated .xdl file in the package folder once you build the example. It will point to the list of libraries that you need to link in your application. I haven;t tried it myself and therefore am not 100% sure it will resolve all link dependencies. if xdctools change tomorrow, this may not work.

Youzhi,

You can also try the closure tool that will create a standalone bundle of all the packages required to build your application.
