TDA4VM: VIM controller programming steps

Hi,

I was going though TDA4VM documentation. The documentation is quite comprehensive. I looking at Interrupt Manger VIM form R5FSS0. I was looking for programming steps of VIM for say timer0 but didn't find any in reference manual. Any guidance step will be highly helpful.

Hi,

Do you plan to run some periodic task based on the timer? The programing of VIM is abstracted by the SW so you don't need to do anything specific. You will only need an example from the SDK which you can refer for interrupt registration.

If you provide more details on the use case, I can point you to the closest example in the SDK.

I am doing baremetal programming. and yes for periodic timer. I am not using sdk.

Hi,

Can you please help me understand the whole use case of Timer in a baremetal application here?

We generally use the timer in an RTOS application to trigger a periodic task, such examples are there in the SDK.
