TDA2E: How to improve the priority of GPU access DDR？

Correction, the resolution is 1780 by 720

Could you refer to interconnect section of the TRM? It will mention ways to setup priority for the different masters.

In addition to what Brijesh recommended, I want to suggest something that may sound counterintuitive. Can you try reducing the GPU frequency to see if that has an impact? In some cases, the overall performance suffers if there is a lot of pressure on the DDR. Reducing the GPU frequency can sometimes reduce this pressure and allows for smoother traffic pattern. This is not always the case though but certainly something you can give a quick shot. You can try and use omapconf for this. Or, depending on the kernel that you are using, you can look at dtsi file dra7xx-clocks.dtsi and change the assigned-clock-rates value for dpll_gpu_m2_ck.

Let us know what you see after this experiment.

I have looked through the TDA2E TRM, section 14.2 L3_MAIN Interconnect again.

But I cannot find any description about the priority of L3_MAIN Master NIUs.

Also I cannot find any detail about the QoS management.

Please help us double check.

I tried to reduce the GPU main frequency from 532 to 432 and 500 for testing. The results showed that after the decrease of the GPU main frequency, the average processing time of a frame reached about 50ms, resulting in a frame rate of only 21 frames. Do you have any other suggestions? thank you
