AM5728: PowerVR stops refreshing HDMI outputs

Hi team,

We are now on continuous operating test for product releasing, but we have an issue around video outputs.
When the processor run over 12 hours continuously, a HDMI output froze.

I know that other part of processor including CPU work well as usual while PowerVR stopped.
Of course, no error log are shown on Linux.

Here is more detail about our environment.

Processor

AM5728BABCXA

Images

Some UI screen for touch panel.
We are using automatic testing probes, and it always touches UI parts (ex. button) while in the test, then refreshed screen.

The UI screen forces high usage to the GPU.

Errors

Freezing HDMI output.
Other sections in processor work well.
No error logs on Linux

Do you have any idea around this problem?

Hi Junpei Kishi,

Display is still running, because it is continuously displaying same frame. But somewhere/something in the chains has stopped working. Not sure if it is PowerVR. So can you please see each component in the chains, starting from capture, and see which component has stopped working..

Thank you for your replying.

So, you mean that I have to check DSS and framebuffer work correctly.
Any other components should I check for?

I meant display is working fine. Please check other components in the SW pipeline/chain.
