TDA4VM: DSI support in PSDKLA

Dear TI,

I'm under review for display operating on EVM board with only PSDKLA.

But from the documentation of PSDKLA version 7.3, DSI is not supported.

Which release is this feature targetted?

Hi Jaewook,

DSI is already supported in PSDKRA, on sysbios, running on R5F.

Could you help me why you require it on PSDKLA?

You are right that there is no support for DSI on TDA4. There is no plans to support this in future release as well.

Hi Brijesh,

My team has the Linux Camera application developed from other platform.

It is using the DRM(Direct Rendering Manager) for display and HW interface is used DSI.

Finally I want to reuse the Linux application on PSDKLA.

Question 1.

In this case, is it possible that reuse Linux application on PSDKLA?

we need to focus on only display feature.

Question 2.

If DSI is running on R5F, Can I use the DSI output from PSDKLA side?

No, once DSI and DSS is controlled by R5F, PSDKLA cannot use it.
