AM3352: NAND debugging, can not start properly

Part Number: AM3352

Our Customer is debugging Spasion’s S34ML02G2 NAND chip on AM335* board.

The current problem is that NAND can be recognized normally when starting the board from SD card mode, and it can also be burned normally. After burning, NANDBOOT can be started normally when executing. The log screenshot can be seen in the attachment. However, when switching to NAND mode to start, the system cannot print out any information, please help to analyze the problem.

Does it work with other NAND chips? Or is this problem affecting only this Spansion’s part number?

Replied that:

The previous chip model has been discontinued and needs to be replaced with new NAND. Other NAND chip support has not yet been identified. Spansion is ECC-4bit. The previous code should default to ECC-1bit. It may be related to this.

The current debug code, can support Spansion S34ML02G1, log visible attachment. However, Spansion S34ML02G2 is not supported (again, NAND is recognized when SD card mode is started, but NAND is not recognized when NAND mode is started).

  • Hi,

After burning, NANDBOOT can be started normally when executing. The log screenshot can be seen in the attachment. However, when switching to NAND mode to start, the system cannot print out any information, please help to analyze the problem.

Can you please clarify the difference between NANDBOOT and NAND mode you mentioned?

Please also attach the screenshot you mentioned.

The current debug code, can support Spansion S34ML02G1, log visible attachment.

    What debug code is this?
