AM5728: LCD VOUT hsync, vsync & clk are not getting probed

Hello,

I am trying to port Bolymin LCD (Bolymin BTZ070H-CFC$ ) with our custom board based on AM5728 SoC. However, nothing is getting displayed on LCD and further observation it was found that hsync, vsync, clk are not getting probed.

Following changes are done:

1. DTS Entry ( as provided by Vendor) :

2. Probe function of panel-simple.c is getting called and bolymin structure (provided by vendor) is also added in it. No error in coming kernel dmesg regarding LCD.

After further analysis and as suggested on this link ( https://git.ti.com/cgit/glsdk/iodelay-config/tree/README.md ), vout1_probe.sh script was generated and tested, it was found all the values are coming to 0.

This is a gentle reminder. Please reply.

Few observations have been noted:

1. Register value for VOUT1 found to be different from the EVM.

2. We tried to replace the values in the custom board using devmem2 command with EVM values, we got CLK and DE values as 1 on running vout_probe.sh script as mentioned in the above query. However, the value for hsync and vsync did not change.

3. Also, on rebooting the custom board, register values reset back to old values. How to write these register values permanently.

4. On running kmscube test on EVM and custom board, no error comes on custom board. Please find below following output:

Hello,

LCD is working now and all the parameter hsync and vsync etc are also giving correct value on running script vout1_probe.sh.

It was found that the values in the registers of VOUT1 was wrong. I changed the value of the register using devmem2 command and now the LCD is working.

However, on rebooting the board, the register values are reset to default.

How to change these registers value permanently?

There is no way to write them permanently as the registers lose values across reboots. You could try to make those register changes
in u-boot or in kernel depending on your need.
